If you are involved in the use of lasers outdoors, then SKYZAN™ is the proper software selection. The hazard analysis in SKYZAN is based upon the FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 70-1B, and the Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) limits and Nominal Hazard Zone (NHZ) concepts as outlined in the ANSI Z136.1-2022 and ANSI Z136.6-2015 National Standards.
Calculations are performed for the for exposure zones: Normal Flight Zone Limit, Sensitive Flight Zone Limit, Critical Flight Zone Limit, and Laser/high intensity light free Flight Zone. Calculations include slant angle and vertical scanning range, as well as atmospheric conditions. Results include NOHD, AGL, and LHR.
Multiple lasers and atmospheric attenuation are supported.
