We provide the training for the state inspectors at the Department of State Health Services’ office.

Our course curriculum brings a comprehensive program to the attendee that is unrivaled in the areas of physics, safety, risk management, business development and aesthetic patient education.

Courses are routinely conducted at our client's facility and can be tailored to your specific requirements. Emphasis is placed on what's important to you, including reviews of the federal, state and local regulations applicable at the site.

Aesthetic Laser Safety Training

RLI offers a comprehensive aesthetic laser safety course that meets the requirements of ANSI Z136.3, “The American Standard for Safe Use of Lasers in Healthcare”. The ANSI Z136.3 addresses safety control measures required for all personnel working in cosmetic and aesthetic laser environment.

The 40-hour course has been developed for the clinician responsible for aesthetic practices as well as the Laser Safety Officer duties in an aesthetic environment. Our course curriculum brings an inclusive program to the attendee that is unrivaled in the areas of physics, safety, hazard assessment, risk management, and the development of a laser safety program. In-depth instruction also includes compliance measures that satisfy OSHA requirements as well as many other state legislative and licensing bodies.

In addition, the course curriculum includes detailed instruction of the varied cosmetic procedures, devices and best practices in the areas of hair removal, facial rejuvenation, body contouring, tattoo removal and the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions.

Arizona has approved our 40 hour course to meet the requirements for safe use of lasers in laser hair removal and IPL procedures.

Patricia A. Owens, RN, BSN, MHA, CMLSO, CNORPatti Owens provides consultation services in the areas of aesthetic and medical safety programs along with in-office management services. She has been the Nursing/Allied Health Chairperson of ASLMS and in 1999 and 2014 received the Nurse Excellence Award. She served a three year term as the ASLMS Nursing-Allied Health Representative to the board and is presently the Laser Safety representative for 2013-2016. More
 

Patrick J. Clark, CMLSO

Patrick J. Clark, CMLSOMr. Clark has been active in clinical light applications since 1988. Pat moved from his first administrative and clinical exposure of laser use and control at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to being a member of the team to first accomplish and teach routine laser laparoscopic cholecystectomy in several Northeast states. A Texas native, Pat returned home in 1992 to be selected as the founding director of the laser program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and the allied hospitals. In that position he refined a teaching and administrative process that included the control of some 117 laser and light sources in a myriad of applications and a recurring education process for physicians, residents, nurses, and paramedicals. More
 

Online Aesthetic Training Courses

Developed by Online Laser Training USA and hosted by Pastiche Training, these courses are designed for US standards, regulations and juristictions.

This course provides you with a fundamental understanding of light based hair reduction (LBHR) using laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) technology.
